These mixed media prints were produced in two series' respectively called "Black" and "Blue". In this series, domestic arts and labor are referenced through hand papermaking techniques that include: dyeing, fibre processing & cooking, and through the use of materials and processes typically associated with craft. Sewing is evident in surfaces of the prints with visible threads and punctures. Visual cues such as quilting, pattern design, découpage, and collage allude to activities of women's work as the conceptual basis for the series'.

Economics also influenced this series. The goal was to produce work that used affordable and recycled materials (plexi-glass for the plates) and additional materials that I ready had such as masking tape and handmade papers that I produced earlier that year.
